Stampin' Sunday!!!

 

Welcome to Stampin' Sunday!!  

 

The card that I made for today was a special request from the ladies that attend my card class....we had made one awhile back and they wanted a refresher course on how to make them.  Since the weather was beautiful and "Fallish", I thought I would use the Spice Cake DSP (Designer Series Paper) (it is in the Holiday Mini, pg 17; item # 124003; $10.95).  

To make the card, you start with two 2 11/16" squares (for the base) and eight 1 1/4" squares (four each of two different designs).

 

Attach the two 2 11/16" squares together as shown in the photo below:

 

 

Then start attaching the 1 1/4"squares at each corner, leaving a small border and alternating the patterns:

 When you get to the last one, you will need to gently (and carefully) lift the FIRST square that you placed so that you can tuck the left corner under it:

 I also go back and adhere each flap...

 

Attach a button, flower or brad to the center of the quilt and adhere to your card!

Wednesday WOW!!!

 

Welcome to Wednesday WOW!!

We received a Stampin' Card Keeper (available in the Holiday Mini Catalog, pg 35, item # 124107; $8.95) at the Stampin' Up Charlotte Regional.  I finally put mine together and covered it!  I used Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper (IBC, pg 185; item # 124339; $10.95).  I love how it turned out!  I had given my mom a box last year for Christmas (with Birthday cards for everyone), but I think this one is much prettier!!  So I guess I'll fill this one and give it to her!!  I'll have to order another one to do for my mother in law....

These Card Keepers are very well made, already have really strong adhesive on the flaps and even come with cutting templates for your DSP or fabric!  

I'm hoping they continue to offer them as a permanent item.  I just wish they came with more dividers!  I need 12 (one per month) since I'm using mine for a Birthday Card Keeper.  Maybe I'll make a suggestion to SU to keep them in the IBC and offer additional dividers!

Holiday Mini....LAST CALL!!

2010 Holiday Mini Catalog

I'll be placing my final order from the Holiday Mini Catalog this week....so if you are interested in anything, please contact me by Wednesday, December 29th!  

Don't forget...product from the Occasions Mini will be available next week and Sale-A-Bration begins at the end of January!

WOW!  It's hard to believe Christmas is right around the corner!!  Are you ready?  Do you have your cards made yet?  If not, then contact me and you can have a workshop that will show you some great examples of easy, handmade Christmas cards that will be the envy of your friends! 

The Holiday Mini is out and there are some beautiful new stamps and products that I'm sure you will love!  The mini catalog covers Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas....and I've marked quite a few "MUST HAVES" as I'm sure that you will too! 

Our New Recruit special thru October 18th....if you join me as a Stampin'Up demonstrator, not only do you get LOTS of wonderful product (and you can customize your stamp sets, inks and paper), but you also receive a wonderful, VERY USEFUL tote!  I actually bought one and I LOVE IT!!   Contact me for more information!

CLASSES - - I have two classes each month...on the second Monday of every month, I offer a Card Class and on the fourth Monday of every month, I offer Technique University (where you will learn different techniques each month to create cards or use in your scrapbooks!). 

I'm also interested in starting a Scrapbook class each month (preferably on a Saturday afternoon) where we would create a two page layout each month so at the end of the year you would have a complete album!
